Q
How do I care for my fish before bringing
it to Top Notch Taxidermy?
A The best thing to do is bring it in right away while it is
fresh. If this is not an option, wrap your fish in a damp towel or cloth,
making sure all fins are tucked in, and freeze as soon as possible.
Q How do I care for my big game trophy
before bringing it to Top Notch Taxidermy?
A If it cannot be brought in right away, cut the cape
behind the front legs and roll the cape up the neck and cut the neck off.
Place the whole head and cape in a bag and freeze. It is better to
have too much cape than not enough.
Q
Will my deer be alright in my garage for a
few days?
A In most situations, if the temperature remains stable and it
is very cool outside, your hide will be fine, but if the temperature
varies, rising and cooling, the cape may be ruined. It is best to bring it
in right away or to freeze it. |
